Looking to establish a strong foothold in Japan, Imperial Brands turned to us to lead the introduction of their new product across the country. OPPORTUNITY
Imperial Brands aimed to introduce their new product to the Japanese market and were searching for a lead agency to manage creative design, market research, partnerships, and nationwide activations in key cities including Fukuoka, Nagoya, Osaka, Sapporo, Sendai, and Tokyo.
SOLUTION
We were appointed as their lead agency, responsible for branding, design, and integrating digital marketing to grow their market presence. During the planning phase, we conducted detailed market research to identify high-traffic locations for sampling, established local offices across Japan, and recruited and trained campaign staff nationwide. We developed a flexible strategy to adapt to seasonal variations and designed and built activation spaces in popular urban areas throughout the country.
RESULT
Between 2014 and 2018, we delivered successful digital marketing campaigns that helped increase Imperial Brands’ market share in Japan. Our activations consistently surpassed client targets by 120%, driving a significant number of consumers to switch to their product.
