After over 4 months of pining and waiting, we can’t hold out on you anymore. Eggworm and Xex Nihonbashi are not just proud but pleasured to bring you the return of one of the most popular and well-known nights in Tokyo: The Social. Coming off the back of the widely successful Whistlebump Halloween and Whistlebump NYE (which saw over 1400 ppl in attendance), we understand your need for an equally proper night out. Like no other Social before it, we will be bringing you all of the elements that make The Social so special and have packed them into a night of musical goodness! That’s right, Saturday Feb 12th will see Xex Nihonbasi busting at the seams with live music by Claudia Vasquez and J-Sway, your favourite djs and household names Groove Patrol, Alex Einz, Aron T and Yutaro Suzuki and very special performances by, the “Dukes of R&B”, All-4-One who will be sure to serenade you with their smooth sounds perfect to hold on tight to that special someone or just a random stranger if the mood strikes you…
We helped bring you The Gipsy Kings and TLC and were not planning to stop anytime soon. Grammy award winning All-4-One emerged on the music scene with their own smooth, doo-wop, sidewalk-type harmonies and will be performing them both Friday and Saturday for a special release party of their new single. From the release of their debut album, AII-4-One impressed the ears and hearts of a rapidly growing audience including Japanese audiences and are probably best known for their hit singles “I Swear” (which has recently been featured on the blockbuster movie The Social Network) and “I Can Love You Like That”. Thanks to the collaboration between Xex Nihonbashi and Eggworm, they will be gracing us with songs from their new album No Regrets which they wrote and produced themselves. The group comprises Jamie Jones, Delious Kennedy, Alfred Nevarez, and Tony Borowiak and are based in the Los Angeles area. They have sold 22 Million records worldwide and with this new album, which some reviewers and music critics are claiming to be a “career album for All-4-One”, that number will surely climb. One of the few American R&B acts to make it big Japan, you can believe that both the nostalgic and contemporary alike will be flocking to this very special romantic edition of…The Social.
And if that wasn’t enough, we have a limited amount of pre-sale tickets for Eggworm members and those on our mailing list (visit www.eggworm.jp and sign up if you haven’t already or email [email protected]) for an unbelievable 3000yen (regular 6000yen) which includes the live performance by All-4-One and The Social after party.
